The Storm

Near the Church of St. Tudor at Mynyddislwyn stands an ancient burial mound, known as Twyn Tudor (Tudur) dating some say, from the Bronze Age.
Many years ago, three local men believing there was treasure buried within decided to excavate the mound.
As they began their digging, a storm arose of such ferocity that they were forced to abandon their task.
The following night they went back to resume their labours but as soon as they began another storm arose, even more violent than the previous night.
As the wind howled and rain lashed down and lightning crackled around them, they dropped their tools and fled in terror, never to return to Twyn Tudor.
